Medieval History

This guide will help you with your research for Medieval History.

Finding Books and Other Library Holdings

If you want to find out what books, videos, and materials are in the library, use the Library Catalog.

If you want to find additional books not held in our collection and order them for free, try searching WorldCat, Ebsco E-books, Amazon.ca, Google Books or any Other Library Catalogs and then tell us to place an Inter-Library Loan.

Searching the Library Catalog:

Use the Library Catalog to enter and search words related to your topic.

Or change the Field to Search to Subject. Then enter one of these terms, as relevant, and click Go:

  • medieval
  • middle ages

You should combine these terms with other words to narrow your search. A more specific search brings fewer results, but these are usually more relevant.

InterLibrary Loans

Interlibrary Loans

Interlibrary loans (ILL) provides access to journal articles, books and other items unavailable through the library. The service is available to all students, staff and faculty, is usually free and can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the library supplying us.

ILLs can be submitted to us via various Databases, as well as via our Online Forms. In either case, you will need to use your Brandon University ILL account to do so.

For more information, see the Interlibrary Loan page.
