Education Resources: Educational Tests

Guide to teaching and education resources in the Library and on the web

Finding Tests and Test Reviews

Find a test in the BU Library:

At the search box, enter the name of the test, if you're looking for a particular one.  If you'd just like to take a look at the variety of tests available, ask at the Circulation Desk.

Find a review of a test:

The best place to start you search is the Mental Measurement Yearbook (MMY) database. Some results will only show that a test exists, other results will include a review of the test.

You can search for reviews by test name, test category, test publishers, etc.  Search Tip: Vary your keywords - many tests are known by multiple names including acronyms and the Mental Measurements Yearbook does not cross-reference all of them.  If you do not find a test try searching the BUROS Institute web site.  If you find the test, click on it and look at the bottom of the window which Yearbook contains the test.  Then look for that Yearbook online (link above) or on the shelf in the library (see below).

PsychInfo Search Tip:

To find studies that use a particular test, select "Tests & Measures" from the drop down menu on the advanced search screen and type in name of the test.
