RefShare Help

What is RefShare?

RefShare is a way in which you can share citations in RefWorks with others.  You can share your whole database or just a folder.

Who can you share with?

You can share with everyone who has a Brandon University RefWorks account, or with a single person, if you know their email address.

If you share, what can the other person(s) do with your citations?

They can view them and, if you allow them to, they can add comments to the citations.  They can not, however, change the actual citation itself.

How do you share?

There are 3 ways.

1. You can email a link to your entire database or folder to one ore more people, if you know their email address.

2. You can upload your entire database or folder into a BU-wide common area, so anyone can see your citations.

3. You could create RefWorks account and share the username and password with the others.
