Off-Campus Library Services: Searching Off-Campus

This guide is designed to assist Distance Education with accessing materials for their research.

Searching from Home

If you are a student or faculty member at Brandon University, you can access databases, eBook, electronic databases and licensed music/video from off campus.

If you are accessing the library's web site from off campus, you will be prompted to log in with your Brandon University username and password.

  • If you have not claimed your username and password, you can do so through the claimid program.
  • If you have claimed your ID but are having trouble logging in logging in, you should contact the Brandon University Computer Help Desk  Phone 571-8500 (Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) to get help with your account.

Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the destination of the link. You should only have to log in once per session.

In additition you should be aware that:

  • This method of off-campus access does not work with the Opera or the Safari browser.
  • JavaScript and Cookies should be enabled.
  • Off-campus users of the Canadian Electronic Library Publishers Collection on the ebrary platform should only use the Internet Explorer browser.
