The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) has created the CARL Guide to Author Rights.  Consult this document:

  • Before you submit your manuscript to a journal or book publisher
  • During the submission and review process, and
  • After publication.

It provides authors with a wealth of information around selecting publishers, funder requirements, etc.
