The APA citation style guide is created by the American Psychological Association.
The 7th edition of the APA style guide was released in 2019 and is significantly different from the 6th edition.
Some instructors still require students to use APA 6th edition, other instructors have switched to requiring APA 7th edition.
Check with your instructor to make sure you know which edition of the APA guide you are expected to use!
