BU Library QuickLinks

Finding Books and Other Library Holdings

You can find resources by browsing the shelves or searching the Library Catalog.

You can also use the Location feature in the Library Catalog to only look for materials held in specific collections (like Rare Books or Music Library).

If you want to find additional books not held in our collection and order them for free, try searching WorldCat or any Other Library Catalogs and then tell us to place an Inter-Library Loan.

If you're writing a paper, don't forget to cite your sources!

Searching the Library Catalog:

Open the Library Catalog. Search by word, or change the Field to Search to Subject. Then enter one of these relevant terms and click Go:

  • cree language
  • french language
  • german language
  • greek drama
  • greek language
  • litterature francaise
  • spanish language

InterLibrary Loans

Interlibrary Loans

Interlibrary loans (ILL) provides access to journal articles, books and other items unavailable through the library. The service is available to all students, staff and faculty, is usually free and can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the library supplying us.

ILLs can be submitted to us via various Databases, as well as via our Online Forms. In either case, you will need to use your Brandon University ILL account to do so.

For more information, see the Interlibrary Loan page.
