Introduction

The virtual displays for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls are MMIWG itself and Restorative Justice.

The following sections have a variety of topics regarding both displays. Physical displays can also be found by the main circulation desk in the John E. Robbins Library.

MMIWG

This section focuses on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls itself and related initiatives or issues. Over 1,200 of which murdered between 1980 and 2012, possibly even over 4,000.

Red Dress Day

Held on May 5th annually, Red Dress Day, also called the "National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People" remembers the thousands of Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people that are murdered or missing in Canada.

Restorative Justice

This section focuses on ways to address and heal from the national injustice that is effecting Indigenous women more than other women in Canada.
