Beginning in 1965 Poland, this holiday is celebrated on the second Sunday of September in Canada to commemorate our beloved grandparents. To acknowledge their importance in our education and upbringing. This display focuses on stories about grandparents and their families to follow that commemoration.
Celebrated on the second Sunday after Labour Day in September since 1981, this holiday commemorates Terry Fox, a Canadian cancer activist and hero. Terry Fox’s Marathon of Hope across Canada raised $3.5 million before his death, and is continued each year with school non-competitive marathons raising money for cancer research.
Held on September 12th annually, this holiday commemorates not only the video game industry/hobby as a whole, but also Canada’s contributions to such a growing community. This display will focus on various ways to learn or improve coding and video game design.
