The virtual displays for October are ADHD Awareness Month, Halloween, and International Music Day.

Beginning in 2004 as a collaboration between different mental health organizations, it is meant to raise education for and awareness of ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder), both to help people live with their symptoms and to help those you love with ADHD. This display features books covering ADHD information and stories featuring characters with ADHD.
Roughly 10% of Canadians are of German descent as of 2024, totaling over 3 million people in Canada. This month commemorates their many contributions and their cultural history. This display contains materials about Germany's culture, history, literature, music, philosophers, and scientists.
With both Christian and Celtic pagan origins, its exact beginning is debated. It is held on October 31st each year where people put up spooky decorations, carve jack-o-lanterns, and go around the neighborhood in the evening wearing costumes trick-or-treating for chocolate and other candy. This display includes books on Halloween, a selection of horror tales, and some kid-friendly scary stories.
Held on October 1st each year since 1975, this holiday commemorates the variety and worldwide significance of music on our lives the musicians behind it. Music brings joy on a bright day, comforts you through pain, has you grooving through work. This display includes sections on music throughout time, music across the world, and Indigenous music from Canada and USA.
